METO is delighted to announce the launch of our University Network. METO UN is a network of Student Representatives from educational institutions all over the world who feel somehow connected to the importance of creating a WMD-free zone in the Middle East. Our students could be from the Zone, have family connections to it, or study in relevant fields such as International Relations, Middle East Studies, Peace Studies, and many other.
Our University Network gives METO a great opportunity for our Student Representatives to develop one of the key pillars of METO’s work, namely education. Student Representatives will actively help promote the Zone in their own personal networks and on social media, help promote our educational programme and use their creativity and initiative to promote the Zone within their institutions.
The application form is live on our website here.
Emad Kiyaei, METO director responsible for education said, “The launch of METO UN is another milestone in METO’s work. There is such a great need for capacity to be built up in the next generation of diplomats and activists on the topic of the Middle East WMD-Free Zone. METO UN will be an important opportunity for young people to be informed on all aspects of the Zone from an organization that is dedicated to it. We look forward to working with students from countries of the Zone and all over the planet, because conflict in the Middle East is something that continues to affect us all.”
